PI’s DNO Electricity Group has been running since 1993 and covers a significant proportion of our member/clients spend on major electricity distribution products such as Transformers, Switchgear, Cables etc.
PI also services a Gas Utilities benchmarking group.
PIs Benchmarking services for the utilities include:
- Hardware
- sector specific services (Vegetation Control, Meter Reading, Cable Laying, Transformer Oil cleansing & renewal Services and Substation Maintenance)
- Administrative purchases such as Office Supplies, Uniforms, Protective Clothing, ICT, Tools and Equipment, Motor Vehicle related Services
- Capital Projects
PI Benchmarking services are web delivered via PIs own dedicated 24/365, facility. Clients using the PI facility can chose from a variety of standard reports and can also arrange for their own bespoke reporting.
PI also runs interest groups where industry trends and management issues are discussed.

Category benchmarking programs

PI is launching its 2nd quarter category bencmarking program.
This current offer is available until COB Friday 9th December.
Benchmarking will be conducted in the following 12 month period as agreed with individual participants.
The category benchmarking covers the full scope (both process and price) of the category as opposed to the demonstration benchmarking conducted by PI through CIPSA this year.
