PI has been providing benchmarking services for over 25 years.
PI benchmarks business functions, processes, common corporate spend and industry specific categories, identifying improvement and saving opportunities based on market evidence.
Benchmarking at its broadest meaning, is about learning from others and using that knowledge to improve one’s own situation and performance.
Successful benchmarking in business is about establishing a meaningful process that will lead to useful analyses and knowledge. Benchmarking can deliver market intelligence, peer performance benchmarks and the identification of relevant opportunities for improvement.
PI has specialised in benchmarking since 1983 and has been carrying out successful benchmarking in the private and public sectors throughout its international offices. PI follows international codes of practice and all data is used unattributively.
PI offers benchmarking services in procurement, business processes and performance.
Procurement
PI benchmarks common corporate spend categories to identify improvement and saving opportunities. PI’s well-established solutions, PricetrakTM and PricetrakTM, provide clients with detailed market evidence of own performance and opportunities to improve and save:
PI provides clients with increased market transparency and timely market intelligence. PI identifies the gap between a client’s own performance and that of peers.
Benchmarking business processes
Business processes in organisational functions such as finance, procurement, property, maintenance and human resources are benchmarked for efficiency using metrics such as cost, timeliness and quality.
Clients can see own business processes against efficiency benchmarks set by peers. Benchmarking assists clients to develop business cases and to improve or re-engineering processes to achieve better outcomes.
Benchmarking performance
Performance is measured and benchmarked by PI in a variety of contexts such as variance from financial and service benchmarks, market means and savings achieved or foregone.
Clients obtain independent assessments of their performance based on evidence of peer performance or against good practice indicators.
Performance improvements are independently measured.
